Where do I begin, I’m 44. Step dad, dad and married to a wonderful person. I’m closer to the age of 40 than 50 but in 3 months time it will be the antithesis. I have attained qualifications in Marketing, Accounting and I am a Criminal Defence Investigator. I have owned a coffee shop in Balmain (Sydney, Australia). I have attained positions of CEO, CFO and Head of Business Development in the Finance Sector. I am Infrared. What’s that mean? I earn less than we spend – in my defence, our expenses are family orientated, not high discretionary.
I work hard and worked hard. I could take on anything and did. I am surrounded by successful peers. I was what I would call reasonably successful (well back then reasonably successful anyway) Although capable and hard working, I tried to do it all by myself. Ulcer upon ulcer in my mouth, 3 hours sleep a night (purely due to the strain and stress of it all). I’d get excited about tackling a new venture thinking nay hoping that this will be the one…. Not to be. Result: I’d fizz out relatively quickly. Recently, I signed up to be quality trained in Foreign Exchange, so I could trade from home. I then upgraded to be quality trained in Equities, Options, CFDs etc. I am halfway through my CPA (Certified Practicing Accountant) accreditation after deferring my Masters in Financial Accounting. I then stumbled upon a seminar that raised my eyebrows. I received an email from a Mr John Abbott, telling me about a Mr Roger Hamilton and how Roger could help me make my business boom from doing Facebook the right way. It was a compelling email. I then clicked on the videos.
I almost forgot about the Facebook interest. I did the tests and wouldn’t you know it I’m a LORD. I read everything, watched everything about Lords. It’s me (Yah). I looked back on my life of achievements and the true flow feelings where there were no ulcers, and had me jumping out of bed at 5 in the morning AND looking up at the clock at my work not realising that the time was 11pm (pre family of course) was when I was doing LORD work.
I love putting my head down and seeing the business run, purely from analysing figures and trends and tracking efficiency to continually improve. Lotus 123, Excel ? love it. I know to most of you would say “Yuk”, Julian must be weird, but hey someone has to like it that’s me. I should also tell you about the Facebook stuff. I am helping women who have been wronged by being inserted with bad silicone breast implants (PIP, look it up). It is part of my investigation side of things and I wanted to learn about Facebook and business for this purpose. Oh did I mention 6 months ago I paid a fortune to be trained by “The Wolf of Wall Street” in selling. I went to Kerwin Rae’s seminars in Marketing and Joint Venture Capital Raising. I’ve done it all. So what’s next I go to the Roger VIP session in Sydney.
I go to the one hour with Roger. Roger says (after a lot of discussion). Investigation equals hobby, Trading at home equals hobby. I said I really like to create efficiencies in business. Roger basically said “Now you’re talking”. I have met up with a Cost Recovery Franchise and I cannot wait to start my journey. This time, I am not going to try and do it all by myself. I am going to get mentors, and different Spectrum partners. They can connect with me and help me get the work, do the deal and I will save the clients bucket loads.
A spreadsheet, a computer, remote access and a quiet room – no trains to catch AARRR, then I will start my journey of connecting and saving money for everyone. Where is my success? It comes from de-cluterising my brain. I now know my path now and it is ‘unbelievably enlightening’ to know that now. No more trying to directly market, directly sell, directly doing the deal, embarking on money making ideas that really are hobbies for me etc. I was lost BUT Now I am found.
